Did you know that when old artwork falls out of copyright, that you can use that same artwork for new crafts that can be given away, traded, or even sold? That’s good news for scrapbookers, stationers, collage makers, mixed media artists and anyone else who needs a steady supply of interesting pictures for their work….

Reusable Art is another of my arts and crafts-related website. I scour the web, thrift stores and yard sales for vintage drawings and illustrations that have fallen into the public domain. The ‘official blog’ for Reusable Art is Art Filled Days but I also post here when I add new categories or have some other news to share about the site.
Reusable Art has hundreds of copyright free drawings, photographs, illustrations and paintings that primarily appeared in children’s books in the mid-to-late 1800s and early 1900s. The images are fully categorized and the site also has a search feature. The original artists, when known, are identified to honor their talents and to expose new generations to their name and body of work. Like Crafty Tips and Blog About Crafts, Reusable Art is a truly family-friendly site.
