Tutorial Thursday started out with good intentions. Share a number of tutorials that sites participating in Crafty Tips have posted during the previous week or so. I had originally hoped to have folks email me their favorite tutorials. After months of no takers, I thought I would try this again but with a very different approach. Thanks to Google Reader, I can now ‘visit’ all of the great blogs on Crafty Tips from one convenient place. It will allow me to keep up with all of the great things everyone is doing as well as become more social with everyone. It will also give me a way to find and share great tutorials that folks have posted during the week.
I’m so excited that this section of Blog About Crafts will be revived. And just in time for Christmas! What could make for better timing?!!!

If you have a great tutorial and are not a participant on Crafty Tips, please visit Crafty Tips Arts & Crafts Directory, find the appropriate category and submit your site. Then drop me a line or wait until you receive your confirmation email to let me know the great craft project you think my readers might like.

BTW, as of January 26, 2012, I have only 121 blog and shop subscriptions in my Google reader account. I went through all of the almost 900 active listings on Crafty Tips looking for the ones that mentioned blogs in the descriptions. It will take me some time to go through the rest of the listings to find everyone’s blogs. As I continually audit each of the categories and new sites are added to the listings, I will be updating the list. Again, the only way to ensure that your terrific tutorial is showcased on Tutorial Thursday is to drop me a line to let me know about it.

Fibers and fabrics are the starts of this week’s Craft Tutorial Thursday.
Elephants, flowers, kites, pretty skirts for little girls and women’s crochet socks were made by the folks participating on Crafty Tips and featured this week. A number of the ideas could easily be expanded upon to make even more great projects. So, if you like working with needles, thread and fabric, you might not want to miss this post.
